While the writers strike hasn't affected me that much during the semester (despite the fact that our Thursday night Weld gathering for The Office was sadly interrupted), being back at home has reminded me of the horrors of this television season. Only 8 episodes of Lost to look forward to? And *gasp*, no 24 season? Moreover, a certain XKCD comic reminded me of the greatest loss of all:
The full sized comic can be found here if you have trouble reading.
It's sad to think that at this rate we may well go through the end of the primary season without the comedy central news hour.
EDIT: alas, i am uniformed. However, we'll see how witty they are without writers.
I'm frightened that Stewart and Colbert will go on without writers, be totally unfunny, and our illusions will be shattered forever -- the shows will never sound the same. THIS COULD BE THE END OF OUR ADOLESCENCE. PLEASE SETTLE WITH THE WRITERS, STUPID CORPORATIONS.
Jon and Colbert are coming
Jon and Colbert are coming back on Jan 2 or 3 i think. without writers, but they are going to carry the shows themselves. That should be awesome! just in time for the caucus and primary. Too bad Rob Riggle, Samantha Bee, John Oliver, or Aasif Mandvi won't be there, if they are too considered writers.
