This Tuesday the Dems will be phonebanking for Patricia Madrid, the Democratic candidate in New Mexico's 1st District. Madrid was the first women to be elected Attorney General in New Mexico, a position she still holds. Voted "Woman of the Year" by Hispanic Business magazine, Madrid currently is in a tough--but very winnable--congressional race against incumbent Republican Heather Wilson (latest poll: Wilson 46, Madrid 44). This is THE most competitive House race in the country, and every political pundit has his/her eye on it. There is a very real chance that the Democrats could take back the House in 2006. Working for this campaign will put us one step closer to this goal! In honor of Halloween, we'll have candy, pumkin pie, and costumes are a must!
