Join us for a passionate debate about a controversial issue that has
millions of Americans talking. As the U.S.' Latino immigrant population
increases, many public schools across the country face the challenge of
teaching students who come from predominantly Spanish-speaking households.
Should our public schools adapt by adopting a bilingual sytem of education
that incorporates both English and Spanish? Or is complete English immersion
best for the children? This debate will be moderated by the distinguished
Professor Catherine Snow, Henry Lee Shattuck Professor of Education at the
Harvard Graduate School of Education.

This event is open to the entire Harvard community. Come join us Tuesday
evening at 6pm for food, a debate between the Harvard Democrats and the
Harvard Republicans, and the opportunity to ask each side questions of your
own!!!

Located at Land Lecture Hall (fourth floor of Belfer Hall at the Kennedy School).
