The Harvard College Democrats are dedicated to the election of Barack Obama, and other democratic candidates across the United States. This fall, we are running trips to New Hampshire every weekend until the election. So far, we have knocked on over 6000 doors and had over 250 individual students volunteer. On one weekend alone 120 people came with us to help Barack Obama and Jeanne Shaheen. Al Gore lost New Hampshire by 7000 votes; John Kerry won New Hampshire by 9000 votes. Our efforts could make the difference in this state and in this election.

But our efforts are not limited to New Hampshire; we also run campaign trips to Pennsylvania and other swing states. For the Get Out the Vote (GOTV) effort, we will hopefully be flying to other battleground states to make sure Obama supporters make it to the polls as well as running trips to New Hampshire constantly. We expect about 300 students at least to be involved that weekend.

But these efforts can be costly. Each bus we send to New Hampshire costs about $500 dollars and seats 50 students. For GOTV Weekend, we may need 8 buses alone. Any and all contributions help us keep our operation up and running, and contribute to a democratic victory. A little bit can go a long way. Please help us help Barack Obama.
