I’m not satisfied with this health care section. “Let’s get it done” is, unfortunately, not a well-established parliamentary maneuver.

Frankly, it may be better than the yelling and whining that has been coming from this room for the past few months. although i’d like a bit of fire and brimstone aimed at a few choice individuals…
I worry that Obama has missed his chance to frame health care reform as a fiscally responsible policy. Certainly, that would require some long-term thinking, but I don’t think it’s impossible.
Wait – did anyone notice that Joe and Nancy color-coordinated? Oh hey, fashionable Democratic solidarity!

This earmark reform stuff will never happen. I don’t care how many of them are standing right now.
Awesome graphic idea: take an aerial photo of everyone who stood up and clapped for earmarks, and map over that how much each of them has gotten in earmarks for his or her district.
It may be the case that no one will vote against their own earmarks, but it also seems true that, framed properly, no one will vote against earmark reform.
Jon Stewart is going to be all over that Supreme Court moment tomorrow.
