Phew, we got to the DADT part. In case you’re wondering, the Generals aren’t allowed to applaud, that’s why they weren’t showing support.
still… facial expression were weird… no way they didn’t know it was coming
yeah, i guess. just think about sitting there while people are clapping and having not to show an opinion. it’d be pretty hard not to give something away, or to overcompensate and give away an opinion you don’t hold.
whatever, either it gets repealed (and it’s about time) or it doesn’t (and there’s basically no salvaging this presidency if it can’t get through)

I wouldn’t so much say a weakness on his part as a weakness in the podium and the sound system. (Maybe he should just lay some padding down.)
I think the awkward is peaking with these “not my fault” lines.

Good speech. We’ll see if anything comes of it.
I want to feel hopeful, I really do. This is an extremely motivating speech, one of the best I have heard. Unfortunately, I know the way politicians think, and I know the way politics happen, so I know better than to feel hopeful.
