What: Join us to speak with a former DNC chair, presidential campaign chair, and gubernatorial candidate about the realities of running for public office!
The Harvard College Democrats are proud to welcome Terry McAuliffe to a dessert reception and conversation with the Dems. Terry McAuliffe is the former Chair of the Democratic National Committee, founder of the Voter Rights Institute, creator of the “Something New” initiative to register over 100,000 young voters, and was Chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign. As chair of the DNC from 2001-2005, McAuliffe reorganized and revitalized the Democratic Party, setting the foundation for the election victories of 2006 and 2008. After serving as the campaign chair of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, Terry McAuliffe ran as a candidate in the 2009 Virginia gubernatorial campaign.
