David Brooks says:

I’m not exactly El Rushbo’s biggest fan, but for the past four years I’ve been hearing whining from the left that we shouldn’t be questioning people’s patriotism. [Wanda] Sykes [at the White House Correspondents' Dinner] explicitly calls Limbaugh the 20th hijacker on 9/11 and nobody in elite Washington has a problem with that?

Eva’s carefully reasoned response: Maybe that’s because she was joking and they were not.

Am I so out of line here?
